We are three South Asian best friends united by the common goal of forging stronger solidarity among South Asians across the world, particularly in times of global discord.
The COVID-19 pandemic is no exception.
Despite living in different corners of the world, we have identified one common issue: the incessant spread of unreliable and inaccurate information about COVID-19 among South Asian families and communities. This wave of misinformation stands as a major threat to public health systems and the social fabric of our communities as a whole, including panic attacks among other mental health issues, discrimination of our neighbors and vulnerable community members, and the inadvertent exacerbation of health workers' jobs and responsibilities.
With millions of South Asian families susceptible to misleading public health instruction, our team is committed to disseminating accurate and evidence-based information through digital advocacy and local grassroots networks.
